Mural para o projeto MAR - Museu de arte de Rua 2022, da Secretaria de Cultura da Prefeitura de São Paulo. O muro externo da Escola Municipal de Educação Infantil Alberto de Oliveira, no Cambuci, foi o suporte para uma série de ilustrações que tem como propósito falar da importância de preservar e valorizar o conhecimento dos que vieram antes, promovendo uma troca de cuidados e saberes baseada no respeito e colaboração mútua.
Mural for the project MAR - Museum of Street Art 2022, by the São Paulo City Hall Culture Department. The external wall of the Municipal School of Early Childhood Education Alberto de Oliveira, in Cambuci, was the support for a series of illustrations whose purpose is to talk about the importance of preserving and valuing the knowledge of those who came before, promoting an exchange of care and knowledge based on mutual respect and cooperation.
A arte/ilustração criada para o muro de 360 m2 que circunda a escola foi fundamentada em dois pilares: a ideia da passagem do tempo como um rio, representada pelo córrego do Lavapés (que dá nome à principal rua da região); e contar a história da árvore que dá origem ao nome do bairro, Cambuci, que já esteve ameaçada de extinção e passou por revalorização.
The art/illustration created for the 360 m2 wall that surrounds the school was based on two pillars: the idea of the passage of time like a river, represented by the Lavapés stream (which gives its name to the main street in the region); and tell the story of the tree that gives the neighborhood its name, Cambuci, which was once threatened with extinction and underwent revaluation.
COMPARTILHAR RESPEITO, COMPARTILHAR SABERES
Na entrada da escola, quatro gerações de mulheres recebem os alunos. A mais velha traz em suas mãos o fruto do cambuci; sua filha, um caderno de receitas que simboliza a transmissão de conhecimento; a filha desta estuda e ensina sobre a árvore usando um livro didático; e a mais jovem aprende sobre o assunto usando um celular.
At the entrance to the school, four generations of women welcome students. The eldest holds the cambuci fruit in her hands; her daughter, a recipe book that symbolizes the transmission of knowledge; her daughter studies and teaches about the tree using a textbook; and the youngest learns about the subject using a cell phone.
Nas figuras seguintes é representada a troca de conhecimentos entre gerações, o aprender juntos, e a importância de ajudar nas tarefas do dia a dia, sempre usando o fruto como fio condutor.
The figures that come after represent the exchange of knowledge between generations, learning together, and the importance of helping with day-to-day tasks, always using the fruit as a guiding thread.
